Barry Whitsell

Education: Graduated from Sheldon High School, double majored to graduate Northwestern College in Accounting and Business Economics, and graduated the University of Colorado with his MBA. 

Joined VNU: October 2004

Previous Work: 1982-1998 Barry worked at Security State Bank (now Northwestern Bank) rising to the title of Vice President of Commercial Loans & Cashier. From 1998-2004 Barry worked as the Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Administrator at Northwest Iowa Health Center, now known as Sanford - Sheldon. 

Why do you choose to work at the Village? "I am passionate about bringing the Village mission of Purpose, Privacy and Dignity to life for each individual served at VNU. The people served at VNU are some of the most genuine people, I see how the Village plays a vital role in their lives, and he wants each person to have as full and complete of life as possible by the program and services made available at VNU." 

Hobbies: Golf, watching and attending sports activities, and volunteering on various boards throughout the years
