Village Northwest Unlimited is excited to announce the schedule for their annual Independence Day Celebration to be held Monday, July 3, 2017. The Independence Day Celebration is the largest event of the year at Village Northwest Unlimited and provides a family-friendly environment.
The food court opens at 5:00 p.m. featuring vendors including Hy-Vee, Kelly’s Catering, Pizza Ranch and Subway. Activities for all ages begin at 6:00 p.m. including fire truck rides, carnival games, petting zoo, pony rides, horse drawn wagon rides, and more. New activities this year include life size games such as human foosball, 9-square, and jenga. At 7:00 p.m. the Mud Dogs Band will take the outdoor stage. They are a Twin Cities-based band that plays from a song list of over 200 tunes ranging from crowed favoroties like “I Saw Her Standing There” by the Beatles to “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond to more modern day country songs by Little Big Town and Jason Aldean.
The evening concludes with the area’s largest fireworks display beginning at approximately 10:00 p.m.
