Village Northwest Unlimited is pleased to announce that Lisa Johnson has joined the organization as Director of Development. In her role, she will be working to advance the mission of providing purpose, privacy and dignity to those served by Village Northwest Unlimited. Her responsibilities include fundraising through development, grant writing and estate planning. Additionally she will direct marketing and public relations activities including the Village’s annual events.
Originally from Rock Rapids, IA, Lisa earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Consumer Affairs from South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD. Her career includes 15 years in the telecommunications industry where she provided software support and training for clients as well as held marketing communication and consulting roles. In 2010 she joined Interstates Companies in Sioux Center, IA where most recently she served as Director of Marketing & Communication.
“I am happy that Lisa has decided to join the Village team,” says Barry Whitsell, President & CEO, Village Northwest Unlimited. “She brings a wide range of communication, marketing and leadership experience to the Village team and we are excited to have her as part of the VNU Leadership Cabinet.”
Since 2006, Lisa and her husband, Jason, have lived in Sheldon, IA. They have two daughters, Nicole (15) and Claire (10).
