Village Northwest Unlimited hosts first Shining on Our Purpose event

Sheldon, Iowa - Village Northwest Unlimited is thrilled to announce the inaugural "Shining on Our Purpose" event, dedicated to celebrating the individuals who receive services from Village Northwest Unlimited.

On March 22, 2024, "Shining on Our Purpose" provided an evening of elegance, camaraderie, and celebration. This formal dinner and dance event was an opportunity for VNU to honor and recognize the indispensable contributions to VNU made by those we serve.  The event hosted 96 VNU residents and they were assisted by over 40 volunteers, who helped make this special event possible. 

"We are excited to host our first 'Shining on Our Purpose' event," stated Tori Henning, Head of the Shining on Our Purpose Committee. "It's a chance for us to come together as an organization, celebrate our individuals, and reaffirm our commitment to serving them with excellence."

The event featured an amazing dinner provided by Langers, live music, and a lot of dancing. We hope this is an event our residents will look back on fondly and continue to participate in for years to come.  

"Shining on Our Purpose" underscores Village Northwest's dedication to creating meaningful experiences for the individuals we serve. It truly embodies our goal to empower and uplift every member of our organization by providing Purpose, Privacy, and Dignity to all.
