Autism Services

Village Northwest offers services to adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder that support individuals in developing social and life skills for maximum independence.

ACT Center Services

Many adults with Autism possess high potential, but struggle when pursuing more education or employment due to challenges with transitions, communication, and social interactions. Over the next decade, a growing number of individuals with Autism will be seeking adult services and supports. Village Northwest Unlimited is committed to helping young adults and their families navigate that transition.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

ABA is a highly effective, well developed discipline utilized among many trained professionals. ABA is a proven approach using principles of learning and behavior to improve the lives of children and adults with autism and developmental disabilities. Our board certified Behavior Analysis is leading the way with staff training, adult programming, individualized supports and interventions for all individuals served at the Village. Our highly trained professionals apply ABA techniques to produce positive outcomes for adults served at the Village Autism Program.

PEERS® (Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills)

PEERS® is a 16-week evidence based social skills intervention for motivated teens and young adults who are interested in learning ways to help them make and keep friends. During each session, participants are taught important social skills and are given the opportunity to practice these skills in session during socialization activities. Village Northwest Unlimited employs two certified PEERS® Clinic instructors and utilizes the curriculum throughout the program.

Enrollment and group information for the 16-week program is available by contacting Jerry Postma at     712-324-5403.
