Food Service Supervisor
Experience with food preparation with preference given to applicants who have cooked for large groups. Desired experience includes at least one year of experience in an organization that serves adults with disabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Provide supervision, direction, and training to consumers to aid them in reaching their vocational potential in a food service setting.
- Develop and maintain a positive personal relationship with consumers.
- Supervise and manage the Food Service area and the consumers employed there.
- Assist in ensuring effective and efficient operation of the vocational program by performing tasks as assigned by the Coordinator of Production Services.
- Maintain regular attendance.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Lifting: 10-50 pounds, single transferring, and two-man transferring with an average of 75 pounds. Ability to utilize a mechanical lift for transferring.
Standing: Due to the range of activities that are required, the ability to stand on cement floors for several hours at a time.
Other Requirements: Bending, twisting, pulling, pushing carts and wheelchairs, walking individuals served with a gait belt, could be exposed to limited chemicals.
Visual/Auditory requirements: Ability to adequately interact with staff and consumers.
